Apparently the public beaches are closed, Boditch etc. Public parking lots are closed. and I heard they stopped the trolley. The beaches that are in front of the resorts are still occupied. I would imagine those are theirs to regulate, but have to keep social distance from other groups etc. Certainly some people are going to walk through the resorts like the Lani Kai or the Diamondhead and hang out so there will be people on the beaches. I did notice last week though that I can't see the umbrellas and lounges set up anymore at the Lani Kai on their web cam so they may have stopped that, or they just cut back on how many they are putting out. I bet the traffic going over the bridge is a lot better.

This stuff changes so fast it's hard to keep up with. as an edit, one of my friends just sent me a text saying we were lucky to leave March 1st and this link. 5th paragraph down is new to me.

Put a bunch of people in one spot and it's inevitable. My son works (I should say did work) at a craft brew pub in downtown Buffalo. He said they had to post a guy at the door to keep people from overcrowding the place last weekend. That was before they closed everything when they were just asking people to observe the social distancing. He is sad to have been given the lay off but he said the young folks just didn't care and it had to be done.

I saw on our news they were interviewing young college kids on Clearwater Beach.
The kids were saying they were young and healthy and had nothing to worry about.
When told they could catch the virus and pass it on to their family they just shrugged.
The virus will never be contained with idiots like that!

These kids are supposed to be smart and yet they’re so dumb. My kid was supposed to go to Cabo on Monday. It was like pulling teeth to get him to cancel. No freaking clue. Thank god he didn’t go cause no there is a level 4 travel warning and a made rush home.

You read it here first — 57 state landslide. They are licking this thing. Drug therapy looks very very promising. The Jan 31 travel ban from China was key. Biden’s out there mumbling something about that being racist. It they keep the death toll below Obama’s swine flu, forgetaboutit.
 
Son is still working. Drives to New Hampshire every Monday from Pittsburgh then stops in Mass. and PA at his companies jobsites on his way back. His boss called him tonight while he was here and the PA governor closed more businesses. He said if hotels are shut down they will shut down the PA sites. Anyway, he went to the gun store tonight for ammo. Said there were6 people in line getting their background checks and the display cases were pretty bare. They were almost out of ammo. He endedup getting the cheap stuff cause all the good stuff was gone.

Yes, NY has a lot of people in one area ...but they are also testing like crazy. Easily more than anywhere else in the country. I suspect actual cases in other parts of the country are going to be much, much higher in the coming days as more test results come to light. Many people have it and don't even know it yet.

Maybe people are thinking that some trips to the range or plinking with the kids will be a good way to pass the time, get outside and get some fresh air. I go to the range on week days and usually have the place all to my self. I went Tuesday and there were 4 other guys there, which is what it usually is on weekends when it's not coming up on hunting season. I noticed that all of the on line supply houses have notices stating that due to coronavirus, supplies are in high demand.
