After 4 years of love, I think the time maybe near where my beloved 330 and I may seperate....
Seriously considering the move to a 36' fly bridge. Australian Riviera. The admiral needs the more friendly cockpit / saloon layout, for her back issues etc. and I need the fishing set up, and the safety edge of diesels.....which more than anything is the fuel capacity.
Have been debating this for a while, but I think it may happen this summer

Your burgee looks sharp. Mine is extremely faded as it is probably about 7 years old. I think that Jim should automatically replace them every 5 years as a loyalty gesture.

There is a guy with a 40 riv in AuGres Michigan, that is a gorgeous boat but not a fly.I thought it was for sale last year. That guy would go fishing while we were blown in on our old 300.

Depending on your budget and whether you specifically want a flybridge, have you considered the Riveria 4400 or 4700 sports yachts with the Volvo IPS?

I think something like this will be my next boat.

Looked at the 4400 sports yachts, they put me a bit to far away from the stern when fishing

Good luck with that:) We keep a piece of white PVC pipe with a cap on it over our burgee, unless we are actually taking the boat out, which keeps it looking like new.

Good luck too in your search Ian, enjoy the "shopping"!

The things one can learn in this forum!!! Seriously....some of these ideas just would never occur to me, but when I read them they're a big fat DOH!!!!

Good luck in your search, Ian!

Took the admiral down today to look at 2 boats, which of course went to 5. Her eyes lit up and her face lit up (god I love her when I achieve that) with the layout I thought would do it......single cab, with a dining table and u lounge in the saloon, with a a full length lounge opposite
She just walked in, laid on the lounge and said this is it!

Should add, that was after walking on a 440 searay spec' to the hilt, that she said, problem with this, the stairs from the cockpit to to the saloon, the depth is wrong, exactly the same as our 330

Ok, if I have two moored boats, does that make me a Commodore??

Dropped the deposit down today on a 98 Riviera, 36' Flybridge. Twin B series 370hp Cummins with twin disc gearboxes, all replaced in 2011 and less than 200 hours since.
Needs a detail and a little bit of upgrading, but will suit our needs better and most importantly will be more comfortable for the admiral.
Boat is in Adelaide, South Australia, so a 1000 - 1100nm sea trip is coming up.

Now most importantly, fingers crossed the Sea Ray sells

Welcome to the bridge Capt. Congrats and good luck on the sell I really like Riviera's it would be a serious consideration of we ever made another move.

Don't ya just love and Admiral that says "we need a bigger boat"?

Congrats on the new boat. Now you're going to have to post a bunch of pics of the new member of your family.

Your going to love the bridge boat! Great choice.

Great boat. We have a bunch of them here in the SD. I would say it is the #1 choice for the serious offshore SF crowd in our area. You may have to do that suspension helm seat now.

Good idea, wish I had known that 10yrs ago, the burgee made all kinds of noise on a breezy night.

Thanks guys, pics will have to wait awhile. Boat is in Adelaide, a bit over a 1000Nm sea trip. So would really like the 330 sold before I run it around.
