Just notified the marina yesterday that I want her ready for splashing April 2nd :smt038.

Man I can't wait.... First trip planned for the spring. It's a haul to FL for a spring break.

When's your splash down and first trip?

May 15, if I'm lucky.

Lake Powell, here we come the last week of April! Time's a dragin!

This is my 3rd season with the boat. 1st year - didn't launch until 3rd week of May due to ugly weather. Last year - launched 2nd week of May due to ugly weather. This year I'm gonna splash her as soon as the guys will do it. Hopefully, April 2nd or 3rd. I'm going to start the spring maintenance and cleanup after my first cruise.

May 1st <Can't wait> It will be our maiden voyage in our new(used) 320 DA:smt038
She's still in the dealer's showroom so we go visit every week and do some maintanence, so at least that has cured our winter blues.

The week of April 15th.

Usually I have to have it ready to go the 2nd week of April as a backup plan for a fishing tournament the first weekend of May. We always use my father-in-law's fishing boat, but just in case something happens that his cannot go, we have mine ready as a backup!!

One thing is certain. Spring can not get here soon enough. With the football season coming to a close, (and I don't like basset ball) there will be nothing to do to whittle the hours away but surf CSR....I guess things won't be changing much afterall.

March 1st I will un-wrap her and address the small action item list;
  • Prep bottom for paint
  • new thru hull sensor for Garmin
  • clean interia
  • repair eisenglass
  • rename her
  • more
April 1st is when I am allowed to access the slip...April 1st is a Thursday so hopefully that Sat. April 3

cannot wait:smt021

Last year I splashed her March 16th, the day after the Marina took the bubblers out of the water. I sure would like to hit that date again… I say as we are just about to get hammered with other major snow storm. Someone make it stop!:smt089

hell... I took my boat out of the water a few months ago for a hull polish and bottom paint job and I have not been able to put it back in the water because of the damn COLD WEATHER AND SNOW! I've never had my boat sitting out of the water for 2 months... ridiculous...

If we have a decent spring... middle April. After one week of polishing and cleaning, it goes into the water......come on spring....

Already splashed,we leave her in all year and I go and play often. Now she's winterized and an ice-eater is off the bow and two heaters inside with temps around 60.
Plenty of winter projects on the boat :smt038:smt038:smt038

My boat stays in the water, under shrink wrap, for "lay up"
Assuming no ice in the marina, we will cut the shrink wrap in Mid-March, reinstall the canvas, and put the cockpit cushions back. I clean the cushions up and store them in the master stateroom over the winter. As soon as the shrink wrap comes off I will have Cummins out to the boat to check valve lash on the C Series, and do any other maintenance that I am not comfortable doing myself-we will then run the boat to make sure that we are turning rated WOT and all is well with the Thundering Cathedrals of Torque. As soon as the water comes on in the Marina (end of March) I'll wash the boat and get it detailed. We typically host our inaugural cruise the first weekend of April, up to DC, to see the Cherry Blossoms. I haul the boat in June after the spring rush and do anodes, bottom paint, etc. We then run somewhere between 120-150 hours until we do annual services, winterize, and shrink wrap the week before Thanksgiving. I plan to move to someplace warm as soon as the kids head off to college so "winterizeing the boat" will mean putting a 60 watt bulb in the ER to control humidity.

Last weekend in March - when the Boatel opens up - ready to hang out on Belmont Bay near Woodbridge, VA

8:14AM, March 12th.
Then off to the Inner Harbor (Baltimore) for two months.
Then off to our summer home.
