thanks neighbor for taking my ropes!

Using his lines, tie up his boat with an assortment of knots and load them tight (get the lines wet first). If/when he wants to untie his boat he will have a time doing it :wow: !

Good thing he only took your ropes, imagine if he would have taken your lines! That would have been really bad!

Ooo, Ooo can I take a crack at it?

Someone ransacked the marina. But all they did to him was cut off the female-end of his water hose as they needed one for themselves. They have fancy one's at Home Depot for $2, but they liked his more. He's hoping when they get it attached to their own hose that the washer will leak and they'll get wet...and the joke will have been on them!

How'd I do?! :smt101

Gunn, That is flat amazing. Been scratch'n my head trying decipher what was meant. I knew I hooked up with the most intelligent site on the web.

I think you nailed it. After I read your version I went back and read the original "sentence". He just needed to add about 4 periods between his stream of consciousness thoughts.

Do you guys know each other?? :smt043

I got one better yet than dock lines. I too had the same issue at times when I would come back from an afternoon out.

The one that really pissed me off last year was when I went to grill and went searching for my propane containers. "$hit they were right here a couple nights ago"?? Would you believe slip neighbors came on my boat, found the storage area around the helm and used the propane?? They never even put the container back on the boat. I found out who it was and instructed him to never go on the boat unless he phoned me first. I was not happy.

Doug

Cool Gunn,

Can you do it again? Try this...

Them are not ducks!
Oh yes them are!
See the iddy biddy wings?
Why, I believe them are ducks!

I've lost a couple of lines. Up until last year I was docked in a working boatyard. I had an assigned slip, but if I wasn't around the boatyard owner would put a boat he had been working on in the slip until it's owner came to pick it up.
When I was out, I would leave my lines in place for when I returned.
A couple of times I came back to find a line or two missing. The last time it happened I decided I'd had enough and complained to the owner of the boatyard.
They were real good about it, called their customer right away, and made him bring the lines right back.
How hard up do you have to be to cruise off with someone elses lines?
I lost a spring line at a tranisent dock last year too.
My boat was backed in to the slip and secured with 6 lines. Two off of the bow, two off of the stern, and a spring line on each side.
When I went to leave I noticed that the spring line on the port side of my boat was replaced with a much shorter, and older line. The guy not only took my line, but knew he did it because he left what must have been his old one in it's place. I plan to keep an eye out for him at that marina this year.
