Well this is one of those dream trips, my friend bought a 68 Pershing last August in Fort Lauderdale, I have been waiting all Winter for the call when we are bringing this boat up to CT. For those that don't know these boats, this boat does 47kts WOT and will cruise all day at 40kts (well until it runs out of fuel, with it's 280 NM range!!). This boat has a pair of 1550 hp MAN V12. This trip will be visiting fuel docks all the way up the coast, glad the fuel bill is not mine! I will post pictures along the way, we are scheduled to depart Fort Lauderdale Friday morning.

I'm jealous. Have an exciting and safe trip. Take lots of pics for us!

Is it one like this?

had to google, but wow. nice looking ride.

enjoy!

Do you need an extra deck hand? I'm not too shabby on the grill either.

Larry,

Enjoy! That is way different than the partial run I took on a trawler :)

Have a safe and fun trip, Larry. I'm looking forward to the details and pix. Don't go too fast or you'll miss all the scenery. 40kts cruise.....geeze this thing moves. :wow:

Were you given a crew quarters or the bunk beds?

A few years ago, my friends brought a 57 Marlow up from Florida to Liberty Harbor Marina in Jersey City. The boat was on the Gulf side and they had to head down to Key Largo to get over to the Atlantic. The fuel cost and Marina cost was just over $32,000. I think the Marlow gets better fuel mileage then the Pershing. That is going to be an expensive trip. Enjoy!

You will have fun. Last year one of my customers had his captain entertain my wife and I on his 80' Pershing with twin 2000 hp mtu's and surface drives. If we would have had our passports he would have taken us to Bimini:( We stayed around the Miami area and the Bay. Those things are built for speed and show! The amount of water it throws out at around 48knts is unbelievable!! What a rooster..lol. Enjoy and have fun. I was a little shocked at the lack of quality though.

It was made very clear, I am getting the VIP suite! (private entrance off the salon)

Can't wait to see the pics, sounds like a fabulous trip. Got a feeling this is going to turn into one of those multi-page threads.

Have fun, enjoy it.

Well, flying down to Fort Lauderdale tomorrow afternoon, provisioning the boat tomorrow night and will be heading out of Port Everglades by 5 AM Friday
