Table Rock Lake

We will be on "K" Dock. Does State Park not have any showers? I usually just use my transom shower as does my wife so it is not that big of deal. I am taking a few biology classes this fall and next spring to be more competitive getting into Nurse Anesthesia school. I thought I might give it one more try before I get too old.

We are looking foreward to being on the Branson side of the lake. It just has more to offer including traffic which is it's only downfall.

Kurt...State Park has showers...they are in the campground area. K-dock...as you are coming into the marina from...is that to the right of the dock that has no roof?

Good luck with the classes....get that high paying job...then comes a bigger boat.

There certainly are! The name of the Marina is Holiday Island Marina, i need to check for certain but i believe our events cordinator will be taking care of slip reservations based on our rsvp's. I will know for certain when i speak to her this afternoon and will update then...

Sorry for my lack of follow up on this!!! Slip rentals will be aviable through our rsvp's so get'em in!!!

Kurt - its good to hear that your headed back to school, and though you'll be missed @ PoK im glad you got into State Park, i love that part of the lake!!

Hope everyone is doing well, dont count out these last two months, they are beautiful!!!!

Good grief..here we go again....

I was down there last weekend for the last time of the season. I had so many condo projects we didn't even get the boat in the water:smt089. Now it's time for the dreaded winterization:smt021.

MM still has some work to do to finally make the boat right, so now they get a head start. They've done a great job so far.

Did anyone go on the MM cruise to Holiday Island?

Maybe I'll get to meet you all on the water next year:thumbsup:.

Nope, I heard through the grapevine that no one went. My boat is at MM now getting some warranty issues resolved. So I too am done. I went down this weekend as well and power washed my used lift I bought and paid slip rental for State Park. Does anyone have a good reference beside Boatfloater for lift work. I want to turn the lift around to be able to back the boat into the stall. They quoted me $2k :wow: a little steep I thought.

We were down Friday night and Saturday.....Saturday afternoon was absolutly beautiful. The water is cooling off...so I didnt get in. We just floated and listened to music. We didn't go on the trip...and have not heard anything about it...but the lake levels are back up...that may have deterred some from going. Due to the water, they had to add ramp extensions back so we can walk onto the docks.

Kurt....not sure who to tell you to call....but 2k sounds outrageous. What slip are you in?

I am in K-dock, from what it looks like it will be a very fun summer next year. The dock is loaded with small cruisers to giant houseboats with huge patios set up on the docks. I can smell the late nights now.

Everyone done for the year? We went down last Sunday afternoon....weather was awesome ....still looking to spend a little more time on the boat.

I don't plan to winterize in early November.

we aren't done yet. We aren't getting to go down as often as we like but we aren't done yet. :) we don't need no stinkin winterization!! ;)

I finally broke down and made the dreaded winterization call yesterday:smt089. It has become clear that no unexpected breaks in the soccer schedule are going to occur. I hope you guys get a few more good weekends in. This weekend looks like it will be awesome:thumbsup:.

Kurt, where is K dock in relation to the gas dock?

I have no idea where the gas dock is but we are a dock east of the sailboat dock so maybe a couple of docks east of the Boathouse. I have only been down to pressure wash my lift and make sure it works nothing else. I plan on keeping the boat in high and dry over the winter and then take it out of high and dry in march and take it to Statepark for good. The boat has been back at MM for three weeks now getting warranty work done then it is done for the year.

Tim....when you are entering State Park Marina (by the no wake buoys and the breakwaters)...heading towards the gas dock, there is open air dock that has the sailboats...to the right(or south/southeast) of the dock with the sailboats....I think that is K dock.

That is correct Jeff, it is south/southeast depending on how high the water is. I have only been there twice and I have put my boat away for the winter in High and Dry. I plan to drive it over in late March.:smt089 I spoke with Candi who runs the slip rental and she said there are a few slips left on other docks but she quoted that "K dock is the fun dock" I guess I will have to wait until next year to find out what that means.

you boys getting the ice ? Hoping I'm not going to have to run the generator for a couple of days. The electric crews had been working our area hard this past year to clear trees 10 to 15' around power lines.

No ice in Springfield...yet...I hope it misses us....it sounds like it may be more south of us. We had a bad ice storm in Springfield 2 years ago ...Jan 07....we were without power for 6 days....many were without power longer than that.

Larry...are you getting ice?

yup.... coming back from lunch I helped 2 different carsin a bout a half mile stretch.. 'spose to get the worst of it tonight and tomorrow. The line keeps waffling back and forth, so depending on which TV station you watch its from a half inch to inch and a half.

We were part of that same storm you mentioned..we were out for about 5 days... that's why the crews had been out.

They called me from the marina at 7am to say they expected to lose power so if you were using a bildge heater you would be screwed. They were offering to do quick winterizing today. I though that was pretty cool to check with the slip renters. Mine is in inside storage over the winter so I am good.

When I got off work at 7p my truck was frozen solid. 20 min to dethaw.
