Need idea's , I have a 2005 320 dancer and had a bad bank of starboard batteries and used the parallel switch to start the engine and the lack of clean voltage I fried the starboard switch pad. I bought a new switch pad and new batteries and everything works fine except that the anchor light on is constantly on so I thought the selonoid was stuck on so I replaced that but its still is on.
So first question is if I leave the battery switch on and have power going through the selonoid will that heat up or burnout? Second does anyone have any ideas on the light? I checked out the EIM pad and it looks to be okay. Thanks murf 1

Possible that the new switch pad is bad? Not sure how you would diagnose that? Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions. But could you tell me where you got the solenoid from? I'm putting a windlass on my 290 and need to decide if I need it. Lewmar doesn't provide wiring diagram for it but I know my boat calls for it if it was an option from the factory.

I picked one up from my local Marine Max but my local RV dealer had the same one except it was twice the price.

The light does not seem to draw so I'll keep plugging away.
