Super Bowl 2014 Broncos/Seahawk thread

Anyone who has endured seasickness can commiserate with the Denver Broncos, who spoke to the press Thursday aboard a 210-foot “luxury party ship” in advance of Sunday’s Super Bowl.

The three-deck charter vessel was tied up at the Hyatt in Jersey City, N.J., serving as the team’s interview platform.

More than a dozen players complained of queasiness, dizziness and headaches, and they questioned why the National Football League picked a boat for their interviews while the rival Seattle Seahawks met with the media on the terra firma of a hotel ballroom."I can’t look out the window because that’s when I see the boat moving up and down,” safety David Bruton told reporter Kevin Manahan of NJ.com. “Makes it worse. So I just look at my phone.”

Super Bowl XLVIII kicks off at 6:25 p.m. ET on Sunday. Perhaps the Broncos will have regained their equilibrium by then.

Why any team would agree to something like this is beyond me. I'm sure some will say "The team has no choice in these matters, its The NFL's call".
I say BS! My team isn't getting on the ship. What are they going to do? Kick you out of the Super Bowl? Fine the team $10K per player? Whatever.

When that Seahawk 747 flew around the state it's flight path was in the form of the number 12. In doing that if flew right over our area. I didn't see it, but have talked to some who did. We're down near the lower right corner of the "1" in that flight path.

Whatever....

12's......I used to wear 12's when I was a kid. Let's go 13's!

I'm going with.. Broncos Cheerleaders 10.... Seahawks Cheerleaders 2.

We all know a bronco is the lowest of all the horse breeds. You will never see a bronco in the Kentucky derby or on the polo field. A bronco is still wild at hart, unruly and only good for kicking dirt!

Is there even such a thing as a Seahawk ? And don't say Osprey!

Can I go with whichever team scores the first touchdown?

I'm rooting for the Broncos but believe the Seahawks will win. Everybody is focused on the Denver Offense vs the Seattle Defense. The real story of the game will be Seattle's very good offense against Denver's shaky and inconsistent defense.

Serious waste of fuel. Can’t believe the EPA didn’t have something to say about it!!
Scott, you know I have the seachickens avatar with 13 painted on it but I will honor my word and keep from using it. That is unless they win tomorrow.

BTW would Rocky wear the Italian Sea Hawk on his robe? Did anyone see the movie “War Sea Hawks? :smt043

Theismann said Joe Montana and Tom Brady are the greatest QBs ever to play the game. REALLY?? Montana I can agree with but Brady....please.
Congrats to the Denver Mannings and the MVP going to Peyton.

Theisman is not close to one of the best QB's in history.....not close.

Preface: I'm a Colts fan and always rooted against Brady.

All quarterbacks in history had reasonable team continuity throughout their winning years prior to the open free agency era of the 2000's. In that era, Brady the greatest single draft pick ever, won more games, and went to more Super Bowls, winning 3 of them, tan any other quarterback.

A case can be made that Manning is in the same conversation but for some of the worst bad playoff luck. (Fans often wondered if it was a Polian curse. Lol). Peyton's wins were almost the same as Brady but the Colts lost 4 or 5 playoff games after putting themselves in a position to have an 85% win to chance win and losing. Those losses were easily attributed to the defense and special teams. I'm sure our NO friends may have a different take, but Manning is a NO onsides kick, mishandled by an idiot, away from going for his third SB today.

One other point, the Brady and Manning legacies would likely be different if they were not in the same conference and could have waited to meet in the SB instead of beating on each other in the early rounds.
