Been years since I've visited the boards. I have a 2004 Sundeck 240. We love to use our stand-up paddleboard when we get out on the lake (Lake George, NY), but it's very cumbersome to transport inside the boat using bungee cords. We bungee it against the head door and the board extends from the helm all the way forward (11 ft). I have searched for storage solutions but you either need rails to attach onto or there are pontoon attachments.
Has anyone discovered a convenient method to transport their SUP in a Sundeck? Do you think the bimini support poles would be sturdy enough (the SUP is about 26 lbs) to use the commercial rack systems? In this manner, the board would be clamped to the bimini poles and would be transported on the outside of the boat. The support poles are pretty flimsy, especially on choppy waters.
Thanks.
