Does anyone have one of these for their boat? It's listed as an option on SR site, but I've never seen one. It would be nice to find a way to find some shade in the cockpit, for those hot and hazy summer days that are coming soon!

I'm not sure what that item you are referring to but after burning up in the south Florida sun, I came up with this idea and had a canvas guy sew it.....

it rolls up and stores easily, can be erected in about 120 seconds and gives me the shade we need in the cockpit.

It looks like an umbrella that pivots and mounts on the transom behind the seat?, I’ve seen pictures before but can’t remember were.
I think some one here has one on their boat.

We had this before we got our new camper

Mine came with this setup, but as far as the dedicated storage, it just folds up and gets covered and sits on the aft section of the boat.

Yeah I think it's called the Mantis, from Pro-tech, I'm looking at one myself for the wife, She cannot have too much sun on her face, so I'm looking at every option..

I have something similar, but the poles are not very good. Where did you get yours? They look substantial.

What is holding up the peak ? Or is it susspended from the arch. Also, did you make the support poles? Looks like it works well.

The center of the canvas is held up with thick monofiliment line to the radar arch. The poles are thick wall aluminum. I really like the system but the canvas has stretched out a little since I first got it. I'm not sure I can do anything about that except maybe reposition the pole holes to pull it tighter. I would do it the same way if I had it to do over again.
