"Suggestion List" for your guests?

I also outlaw chocolate and Cheetos ................

Uh-oh.

Now you've let the cat out of the bag, you are going to show up at your boat one day and a bunch of miscreant CSR guys are gonna be sitting there eating Hershey bars, drinking Yoo-Hoo soda and eating cheetos....in their underwear...with a fake tan...

I'm a "My Boat, My Rules" kinda captain. Unless, of course, the admiral wants something different, then we follow her rules.

I "encourage" all of my passengers to remove their shoes and go barefoot. For those of us who boat that way, it's a pain getting stepped on by somebody in shoes, no matter what kind they are. We just pull out the "shoe bucket" when people get on, and ask them to put their shoes in. I make exceptions for my 79 year old father, and other elderly. They usually aren't moving around that much anyway.

I think a prominent sign in the head is a great idea - just so they don't forget.

I also tell them that if there are any kids - they will be wearing jackets unless they are below.

Letting them know I'll call for help with docking, lines, anchors, etc. if needed, and to please stay seated or below while docking is a great idea. So many times people want to reach out and help the boat into the slip. Or tie or untie lines before you are ready. I've even had guests reach in and pull the shore power while everything was still under load. They are just tryin' to help.

My boat, my rules. This includes what we eat, when we eat, where we eat, what we listen to, how loud (or soft) it is, how fast (or slow) we go, when we leave, when we stop, when we return. I'm your captain, yea yea yea. Only the Admiral can overrule me.

But we love chocolate and Cheeto's. That's what the swim platform is for!

Note to self !!!. Don't go boating with Jeff. :smt043

he is probably drunk on Ron's boat insulting his guests...

Better watch out - you're gonna wind up with a SUI (swimming under the influence).

Note to self again !! . Stay away from Gary's boat..

I actually like Gary's suggestion list the best.

I have these two signs posted in my boat. I instruct all new comers in the ways of the boat but these signs are just reminders. One is posted on the wall on the way out of the cabin the other is on the door in the head.

Let's just say, that I don't drink and drive my boat, and don't recommend anyone do either... The story was from a long time ago and I don't like to talk about it... :smt021

Looks like the pics were taken by one of the guests who got nervous after reading the signs. :smt101

Love the signs. Where did you get them.

I have one on my boat that reads"

Marriages performed by the captain of this boat are only good for the duration of the trip.

I got them online a couple of years ago- if Iremember they were only $5 or so. I will try to find the site that I ordered them from.
