Stuck hatch on 2007 340 Sundancer

The hatch on my 340 Sundancer seems to be stuck purely from the gasket adhering to the sealing surface. I removed the handles and struts and pushed on it with my feet while lying on the V-berth until I was afraid I would break the glass, but it would not budge. I don't think this is a unique problem or even limited to 340s. Does anyone have a good idea or experience about how to free the hatch without damaging it?

It took me a while to figure out what you were talking about... Thought at first it was your engine hatch... I have had similar problem with my forward hatch over the v berth. I usually hit it a couple of times with the palm of my hand to loosen it. You could try to break the seal from the top by using a screw drive to pry it open.
