Guys, I was hoping to get some advice on a proper amp to purchase to correctly drive my JL M-Series 7.7 speakers.

I currently have a 4-channel Rockford Fostgate amp already in there for my previous stock speakers. I upgraded the 4 stock speakers and added another pair to the radar arch. So now I have 6 speakers on a 300W 4channel amp. Seems to me I'm not getting the most out of those speakers.

I also have a Kicker SKM10 Sub connected to a 1300W Bazooka AMP. I don't seem to be getting a lot of bass out of it. Maybe I ran too thin of a speaker wire(16G), maybe its a head unit setting?!?! I Played w/ the gain on the amp and that helped a little.

Anyways, Id love some advice on the best AMP setup to properly drive my system. I don't mind sticking w/ the Bazooka AMP since i already have it, however I'd like to do something about the RF amp i have to get better power out of those AMAZING speakers. I just wasn't sure if I should be running speakers in parallel (6 speakers on 4 channels). Thanks everyone!! I appreciate any advice.

Are the six main speakers all the same brand/model? If so I would run the Front pair on two channels and the Radar Arch pair and Rear pair on the other two channels of the RF amp. You could try the four Mid & Rear speakers wired in a parallel connection.

16 gauge is pretty small for a powered Sub. It is an issue but not likely your problem with a balanced sound. You should try to reverse the polarity on the Sub Woofer to see if you get a gain or decrease in sub bass information. This is after you tune your main speakers. See this link for tuning your Sat/Sub system :

I would move to some robust wire for the Sub.

You need the JL Audio 450-4 it will run where you need 150 frt takes care of 4 speakers and the other 2 can on the rear 75 per side this will work perfect for you I had the same setup for 2 years and this year I went with 8 speakers so I changed out the amp to the 600-4

Thanks a lot for the reply. Was hoping you would chime in ;-) All six speakers are jl m series 770's . Maybe I wasn't so clear in my op, sorry, but was looking to upgrade amp and get a better one to get the most out of those speakers. Or do you think I should just stick with what I got? Rms on those speakers is 100 watts. Assuming 300/4 = 75 watts a channel... if I put 2 speakers on same channel am I cutting those watts in half? It seems to me I need a bigger amp!?!? If so... would love your input on which one. Also... what gauge wire would you recommend for the sub? Again... thank you very much for the help.

Have you tested the speakers with the current amp yet? I would try to run them all, or run two pair off the current amp and get a second 4ch amp to drive the arch pair. This also gives you upgrade potential. I ended up with two pair of M770 separates in my arch. The second pair is mounted higher than the stock holes for the captains enjoyment while underway! Anyway, you'll love the JLs.

Nice choice in speakers . . .this system can sound really good.

I don't have enogh information to make a definate recomendation but you could keep the RF amp. It will power all the speakers and it could be wired to do just that. I dont know if it will crank to your listening satisfaction. It will still sound strong. Rather than replacing amp you could add additional amp for the 5th & 6th speaker. Lots of choices on amps. If you are concerned about your front listening stage and you are driving forward mount speakers I would power just that pair to all 100 RMS watts. The RF amp with 75x4 for arch and rear speakers would be a good ballance.

12 guage minimum for sub if it is under a 20ft run.
