It looks like this is the culmination of the Star Spangled 200 celebration in Baltimore. This would seem like a great cruise destination for a CSR gathering. I will start by saying that I am NOT an organizer, but I would be willing to help. It would seem the best person to organize this would be someone who keeps his or her boat in Baltimore.
While I would love to go for the whole thing, I doubt that the Board of Education would approve my kids being out for so long. Not sure why. . .. :huh: It would seem that the best dates to arrange this would be from Friday, 9/12 to Sunday 9/14 as those are the highlight events including:

I would think this would get booked fast, so we may want to look into it while much of the Bay is frozen. My thoughts on what we would want would be:

- Public & Private Group Tall Ship Tours;
- Blue Angels Air Shows (yes, plural);
- Huge Fireworks Show Saturday Night (reminiscent of the Bicentennial Fireworks Show)
- Special Flag Raising over Ft. McHenry for the 200th Anniversary of the National Anthem.

I would think this would get booked fast, so we may want to look into it while much of the Bay is frozen. My thoughts on what we would want would be:
- Slips for Friday & Saturday nights;
- Group Tours of the Tall Ships. The group ship tours are from 9 - 11 am, so that may be a drive to, spend the night Thursday, or get there REALLY early on Friday;
- Some willing to anchor out off of Ft. McHenry (an anchor boat who gets out early, as well as a few boats to take the rest of the cruisers out for the show. I think it will be a total zoo out there Saturday night.);
- Group Tour for the Flag Ceremony.
My questions are:
- Who wants to go?
- If there is interest, do we have members who are in various Baltimore marinas willing to make contact and get pricing and availability? We may need to use multiple marinas depending upon interest.
- Who would keep track of who is going?
- I would be willing to coordinate those who are doing these jobs, but I have a full time business and have enough on my plate.
