I completely understand and of course I am courteous when other boats, especially small sailboats are present. However, they could have better indications of no-wake zones. Those that are not familiar and are following charts are unaware of these zones. Every other place I've been had no-wake buoys clearly marking low speed zones. I did a quick google search and found a lot of people boarded and/or ticketed in these areas just because they were not aware. Also, if this is such a frequent problem, US Coast Guard should have informed me of no-wake zones while boarded and ideally hand out a map showing such zones. Did not receive any information from them.
I am now informed and know what places to be careful about.
