Can anyone tell me "SRV" stands for? It's on the lower hull plates on my 260EC. But cannot find anywhere that shows what it means on older SeaRay's.
Thanks,Charlie

My 'guess' was Sea Ray 'deep' V-Hull.
From what I understand, after introduction of their Deep Vee hulls in 1964, the "SRV" model designation started in 1965 signifying the deep vee hull design.
In the book Commanding The Waterways: The Story of Sea Ray it briefly touches on the origin of the SRV moniker. In 1964 at the Marine Trade Exhibit and Conference in Chicago, Sea Ray introduced two deep-vee models, the SRX17 and the SR230. Then in 1965 the production of the SRX17 ceased but they officially added the "V" to the SR230's designation calling it the SRV230 and of course the SRV designation was tacked on just about everything after that. So officially SRV stands for a Sea Ray deep V hull.

I've got an SRV limited edition Fender Strat. It stands for Stevie Ray Vaughan. I didn't know Sea Ray also had a Stevie Ray Vaughan limited edition boat. Cool!
Hope this helps...
