Hi! Putting some lenco tabs on my spx190 ob. Obviously not a simple install on these....... so... going to have to put the actuator upper on the horizontal urface under the swim platform. To keep the hinges in line its going to need a 19deg wedge as far as i can tell. Only lenco wedges i can fine are 7deg.....
In terms of extra support, i was going to try and slide some marine ply between the fiberglass and foam in the swim platform, and possibly use an alumium plate on the outside to increase the footprint, lower the forces on the fiberglass.

Anyone done this? How did u go about it? Issues?

Any and all advice welcome!!

Other options i have:
Switch to shorter actuator
Put a plate on the tab that extends a couple of inches, angled slightly, so by actuator mount is further out and i can get on the transom below the bump.

Could you post a few pictures please. It will help

Didnt measure what vertical distance i actually have above tab before the bump, will check after. Really would prefer to be screwing it into the transom though, not the platform.
Just a case of how much id have to extend the tab to get it in.
Wouldn't extend tab full width obvs, be way to big for the boat. But a nice 4" wide SS plate to just move the mounting holes back a few inches might do it....... angle it slightly up so its not dragging when tabbed down etc.....

And even the short XDS actuator wont help....much. its only 32mm less.

Fyi - works. Amazing
Once ive tested in several conditions i may revise the bend angle on the extension plate.
Hole shot was a massive gain, no feeling of bogging down, just lifts right up.
Top speed i lost 1mph full vs full down. (46/45, 3 people on board, full tank).
Control of porposing was very good.

That's amazing You made that work like that it's just got to be some strong metal where it's going to bend and the extension part I'm talking about

Yeah, once i hit some proper chop we will see. That bend not surviving was a worry of mine. If need be, i could have a straight strap between the two bolt points but wont unless i have to.
The SS plate i used is pretty strong. Took alot of force to put that bend in! You wouldnt flatten it out by standing on it.

I'm glad it worked out for you
