Springtime shine 2024

Looks really tempting….How is the battery life?
There are two batteries. I did one whole side of my hull on one. They take hours to charge and don’t last long if not fully charged from the start that’s the only drawback.

So here’s a new one I heard today. Let me know if anyone has tried. Apply mop&glow to the waterline to prevent the scum and discoloration from forming?

Same as the marine product known as POLI GLO

Looks great when applied but will turn yellow, and then will be difficult to remove.

Don't ask me how I know, I don't want to relive THAT happy memory !

BEST !

Unwrapped, in 20mph winds, and gave her a bath. Real fun starts tomorrow. I think the hull looks pretty good to start...

I did the hullsides earlier this week on a day I was able to work in a t-shirt. I had to rush it because I only had the one afternoon and we had that rain and wind crap blow through for the rest of the week. No pictures. But it’s only “OK”. I used the light 3m cleaner/wax. I planned on doing a two step with Mcguires and even had the stuff but didn’t have the time.

If we get a weather window before my launch on April 24th I’ll redo the two steps. At least the first cut and wax is done in case I can’t get back or the weather doesn’t cooperate. April has been crap on Georgian bay. Colder and wetter than March was.

I definitely will have to do the topsides on the water. It’s a bit of a pain but I can do it in a few stages if needed. Here is our weather forecast for the next week or so. Crap.

After holding up very well last year I stuck with Starke again. This is a single pass with ignition and then the hyper hold pro sealant.

Last year I used their hybrid sealant but could only find hyper hold this year. It is a tough product to use with hand application, so I will try my DA above the rub rail instead. Thankfully it does come off easily once it hazes off

Looks great!
Yesterday I got the port side done with ignition and one coat of fleetwax. I haven't opted for the hyperhold yet.
But very happy with Starke overall

Looks awesome! I’d say hyper hold is about as painful to apply as fleetwax is to remove, so even trade there
One winter a few years ago I gave all my fleet wax collection away for free…. Left it by the door at storage…. It was gone in minutes…. They probably thought they won the lottery…. I just chuckled to myself you poor bastards
