Spring Buff - product change

Shhhh...don't tell @Blueone but I just dropped some $$$ on 32oz bottles of Restructure, Elevate, Ignition, Hybrid Marine Sealant and a gallon of the Pure Clean wash. I blame it on @Shaps and the damn discount code he got me.

Chances are it won't arrive before I leave to launch....so I'll likely give Pro Cut 1000 a shot with the 3" rotary that arrived today....after watching a few YouTube videos, turns out my technique sucked....which is likely the cause of it not clearing up yet (finally have a boat old enough to need more than a spit shine!).

But I'm sure someone on here will gladly take the Smoove or Starke off my hands...which ever I decide not to stick with...

I’m not taking your smoove…. That’s like taking your half eaten sandwich because you saw chicken wings that looked better…. You’re stuck with your sandwich buddy.

Your analogies are unbeatable...

I jinxed myself though. Now that I bought Starke, Pro Cut will clean it up for sure!
Okay I cleaned it up….. so Giving up your smoove…. Or probably selling it :)…. It would be like you’re sitting beside your buddy and you are getting a lap dance at a strip joint ….. and you see a prettier stripper across the room…. You look at your buddy and say…..you want the rest of this lap dance?….. I think I found something better :D

I'm in and the oxidation is gone. Pro-Cut 1000 and Bubble Gum - I didn't get a chance to put White Cloud or Blue Ice on it before they launched me.

Just got done with Bubble Gum, went to the porti potty and came back to find them getting her off the hydraulic trailer and into the slings. I had to put a ladder up between the boat and the travel lift to get the Bubble Gum off. Then the rain hit. And yes, for those following along - I had $250ish worth of Starke deliver to my house today.

The game changer was this 3" rotary vs the 6". Huge help getting the smaller areas done...and working the Pro-Cut a lot longer than I have in the past. A few YouTube videos helped me hone in my skills.

Here's the 3" rotary:

Pro-Cut and these white wool pads:

Bubble Gum with this white foam pad then black to finish:

Produced the shine you saw in the 2022 launch day thread.

It rained yesterday and she got dusty...and the lighting is a bit different, but here's a comparison...

I did clean it up some in the fall so it looked a bit better than the left picture.... but nothing like it does now.

So the last question is...do I top it with White Cloud or switch to Starke Hybrid Marine Sealant?

And I'm done...the Dewalt gets the next 8 months off. I have real fears of this thing not looking amazing in the sunshine. I just spent every fricken Saturday on this thing since January. I'm going to feel wildly defeated if it's all swirled to hell once that sunshine hits it for the first time!

Fwiw you can see swirls and halos with your iPhone flashlight. Look in the reflection of the bulb. Works pretty good.
