and im not talking about folks with oversized or tandem style garages.. but just wondering if its even possible for a 2006+ sport 185 to be inside a std <20ft garage..

id love to hear from you.
i did recently find out that the 2005 may fit since that doesnt have the swim platform ?

if you have any pics or examples or experience in this - id love to hear from you.

i saw a nice 175 and 185 (2006) -- and i love th swim platform but i dont want to store it anywhere else - id love to have it in my house so i can baby it daily.. :)

thanks everyone.

Again the 2006 185 is approx 8 feet 1 inch wide and 21 feet long (this is with the out drive down as far as I can get it without touching). If the garage is less than 20 feed deep than you will need to turn the boat to get it to fit. If the garage is a single garage than more than likely not going to fit. Picture of the boat in our garage was attached to the link that I provided. Good luck.

I've had mine in the garage since day one. It's part of the reason that I bought this specific boat.

Here are some pictures from a couple of years back... the garage felt quite a bit bigger when I had the Tacoma. The F250 fits in there, but not nearly as well.

Texas, that garage is Spotless....

Where did you get that spare tire mount? I am thinking about gettnig the one from Cabelas. it is the angled offset mount for $65.

It's gotta stay organized to fit all of the sh!t that I have in there!!!

I believe I ordered the spare tire mount from Cabela's... it's been 5 years now though, so I can't really remember. I do remember that the angled offset was quite a bit more than a standard spare tire mount though.

All off the Bicycles get in the way in ours.....

I think thats the one I was looking at. the spare looks good mounted there. guess its time to order it (So i can quit lugging in it and out of the boat :smt009)

I ordered mine from Cabellas last year. Surprisingly, it was the best price I could find on it.

I shoe horn my 2005 185 into our little one car garage up north. If I remember correctly its only 18' long from wall to door. So with my tounge folder and outdrive turned all the way to the side I have about 2" to spare when I shut the door!! I cant get a bigger boat until we get a bigger garage!

thanks for the info on the spare tire mount.... sorry for hijacking the thread...

my garage is just over 20' and the 2006 185S will fit with a few inches to spare. the swin platform adds length over the later models...

If I remember correctly, Cabela's was the best price I could find as well. Some stuff is surprisingly reasonable there... it's also one of the better prices for the tongue jack that I'm looking for.
