We've been talking about selling our boat it was just getting to be too much effort & time to keep it up with family health issues and taking care of our grandson when our son needed help to keep custody of him after a nasty divorce.

I ran a short add on craigslist for 3 days the first couple that called came out Sunday September 11th to look at it, their great people who will use her, September 14th we handed over the keys to them.

If they didn't buy it our local Sea Ray dealer was picking it up the following weekend on consignment.

Whoever came up with happiest day of owning a boat is "the day you buy it" and "the day you sell it" was full of cr-p it was really hard handing over
the keys and walking away.

I want to thank everyone on here for putting up with me I'll be back we're talking about maybe getting 20-24' boat with an outboard to travel around the states and see some lakes.

As some of you know I've been looking at some mid 60's muscle cars Monday September 12th I was 10 minutes late on buying a 66 Mercury Cyclone GT 427 cu in to a person who offered the seller $3000.00 more than I was going to pay. I'm going to keep looking maybe even go to a couple Mecum & Barrett Jackson auctions.

The only time you are happy to sell your boat is when you have already purchased the new boat...

Amen. Bob, life often gets in the way of living so don't fret over selling your baby. One never knows what the future holds in store for us.

Good luck with the grandson. Have fun, take pictures and videos because the time absolutely flies by.

Sorry to hear that you had to sell. I don't want to imagine myself being boatless, it would be the most difficult day. There are plenty of folks in the Puget Sound area on here, myself included, who you could reach out to for a boat fix if needed!

Take care,
Kevin

I know what you mean about selling Bob. A few years ago when I was overwhelmed with the kids sports schedules etc etc. Decided to sell the boat. A local Marine max Rep happened to know my mechanic & found out I was selling. He showed the boat once and the people offered full price. He emailed me the contracts (as I never signed anything or even asked him to sell it) and it all became real at that moment. I got sort of sick to my stomach & agonized over the pending sale for about a week until my wife finally said to not sell it because I would obviously be unhappy. That's when I contacted the broker & told him I couldn't sell. He seemed to understand & said it wasn't uncommon. I have to say I was relieved not to sell it! We don't owe anything on it & find some seasons we use it more than others due to life situations.
Best of luck on the muscle car hunt!! Although not a muscle car, I am going to put the '72 Lemans Sport convertible up for sale soon. I need to open up some garage space

Congrats on the quick sale. Once you decide to sell - then you want it to be done.

I feel your pain. I sold mine back in early June with the hopes of replacing it with something newer and bigger. I didn't realize how hard it was going to be, or how long it would take, to replace it.
At least I have my 68 GTO and C6 Corvette to keep me busy.

We picked up a 30 foot dancer this summer. She has been great for this stage of our life (6 and 7year old and a small dog too). We even meet a fellow CSR member on our first overnighter at Norwalk Cove Marina. It was neat to meet a fellow member first time out of our local harbor here in sea cliff.

With the the acquisition of the dancer I've been passively trying to sell the Pachanga. Not for any reason other then it's tough to keep up with both boats. I'll be happy to not have to maintain two at the same time, but I know that I will regret selling her the day she leaves.

im sure the right muscle car will come along and you will get many miles of enjoyment and hopefully your grand son will enjoy the car with you and b/f you know you will all be back on the water again.
