I asked the marina, where I put my boat for the winter storge, to have my bottom soda blasted. They were not able to have it done in the fall, and planned to have it done in March. Is one month enough drying time for a bottom after it was media blasted?

How long, on average, do people go before you media blasting (salt water boats), using Ablative Paint ?

Rod,
I had the 400 done about 4 years ago. I think I waited a week or so and that came from the guy that did mine. I had people in the marina look at the bottom and get their two cents - they said about the same thing.
There are issues with Soda blasting - If there is no barrier paint between the bottom paint and the gelcoat that can be an issue. I know. There is also a process using walnuts. Yeah, walnuts. But I heard/read it works well. Here is a link to a company that uses water and heat and very little water if I understand it correctly. http://www.farrowsystem.com/

The guy from Point Pleasant does a good job. Do not use guy from Mount Holly or Cherry Hill uses some thing else and very pricey almost double the rest.

Soda blasting is a dry process, so any drying would be related to atmospheric conditions. Depending on your location you might be better off with a fresh blast rather than one that sat out all winter.

When I did mine four years ago I went back with a barrier coat. I did that not because it was needed from a fiberglass gelcoat protection standpoint, but because blasting leaves a pitted surface and I felt filling in the pits with epoxy barrier coat would've reduce the ability of crud to attach itself.

I also used ablative bottom paint and this spring will probably redo the entire bottom. In the past I just did the waterline because the hull cleaner I use dis colors the bottom paint.

Thanks... I just spoke with the Marina owner, (Roy at Good Luck Point) and he thought my bottom did not look so bad... I have always used Ablative paint. The marina is very reputable, so I left it up to the owner to decide what is needed. He said there would no problem with drying. I have to replace my risers and elbows this year, so I would not mind delaying the media blasting another year or two...
