So you got yourself COVID vaccine. Think you can’t get COVID? Think again.

Wouldn't the diabetic be shot and killed by the homeowner? That would render the issue moot as he wouldn't need insulin any more.
True Story - must be their reason for the Brandon Admin wanting to withhold therapeutics, especially to Red states. Screw the people

How about getting a jar of about 400 M&M's and none will kill you - but your neighbor who's a diabetic and severely overweight, steals them and gets severely sick because he couldn't afford the insulin costs Democrats just raised? He could die if he doesn't receive insulin. Kinda like the Fed Government withholding therapeutics - oh wait.
I was looking around to improve my knowledge on the insulin price issue and ran into this:
Every House Republican voted against a monthly insulin co-pay cap

I take it you are in favor of the Build Back Better bill that will cap insulin prices at $35/month?

Cool Story... you should look into Australians getting their ass kicked by their Government in perpetual lockdown and still got Omicron.....

I only mentioned lockdowns because you appeared to be in favor of zero spread and that's the only possible way to achieve that. I'm certainly not in favor of anything other than the government offering advice to take precautions where warranted. Covid is going to continue to spread and we will all be ultimately exposed to it. The means for good protection (the covid shot and masking) and treatments (monoclonal antibodies and steroids) are now available to virtually all citizens. Very soon, pill-based therapies will be available. As far as I'm concerned, everyone can now make up their own minds on the risks they want to take. Darwin will sort out the results. There's nothing wrong with preventative measures but there are lots of folks who cannot do anything to improve the maladies they have that impair the immune system; shots help lots but not all of these people. Other complicating conditions have proven very hard to improve. Obesity, for example, is perhaps the worst co-morbidity in terms of numbers involved and predictor of a bad outcome. Are you advocating some kind of government weight control program?
The covid shots have been proven to reduce spread somewhat and serious disease and death by a lot. If you have anything to offer other than breakthrough case rates, please post the reference.

Where have I been in favor of lockdowns? You CANNOT stop the spread, the virus is going to virus. If you recall when the shots came out, they were sold as stopping the spread and preventing infection.... which turned out to be a lie.

Is it not reasonable for people to take some accountability for their co-morbitidies? And you seem to be in favor of this new daily pill....essentially repackaged ivermectin which I've mentioned multiple times as a treatment and preventative option.... but it's cheap and no one will get rich off it...

I'm no advocate of lockdowns, only pointing out that if you want zero spread like some on here want, they are the only way to do it.
And, I am trying to keep up with what's happening in Australia (New Zealand as well) since we are planning to visit both in early 2023. It's not looking good unless they give up on zero covid. Too bad because I have a huge number of brain cells left behind down under I would like to visit.

So, he is going to do it through legislation instead of executive fiat, isn't that the better way?

Sure. Why does it cost trillions and why was it on hold for 10 months? Give me a break

The vaccine's were sold to stop the spread - it is QUITE obvious the virus is going to virus and keep spreading...we need to learn to live with it...and should take ques from nations that have figured it out...and NOT big pharma...

The covid shots were in fact sold for their ability to reduce deaths and hospitalizations. It was made very clear that reduction in infection seen early on probably would not last. Anyone who says otherwise was not paying attention.

Good idea to take cues from other nations. Bloomberg ranks the nations of the world in how they are doing against the virus, weighting death rates, GDP growth, severity of lockdown (lower severity is better) and travel among other measures:
The Covid Resilience Ranking
The Best and Worst Places to Be as Winter Meets Omicron
https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-resilience-ranking/
The U.S. is 13th right now, actually not too bad. The UAE is first followed by Chile, Finland, Ireland and Spain. Closer to home, Canada is 7th. For countries ranked above the U.S., the proportion of citizens vaccinated is always higher. So, perhaps that's the cue? I don't know of a single country that is not vaccinating its citizens as fast as doses are available up to the point where hesitancy kicks in? Do you know of a country not delivering covid shots nor exhorting its citizens to get vaccinated?

And yet no country has defeated covid. Those highly vaccinated countries are still seeing spikes...which you cannot attribute all to the unvaccinated. COVID is not the big scary monster they all claimed it to be...it is simply a means to the end result TPTB want...

You must be oblivious to all the protests against the jab that are taking place, worldwide and have been for weeks...

Why they still march this clown up there in front of cameras is beyond me. This was an exchange today at the podium between Fauci and Peter Doocy.

Doocy: “You advised the president about the possibility of new testing requirements for people coming in to this country, does that include everybody?”
Fauci: “The answer is yes.”
Doocy: “What about… these border crossers?”
Fauci: “That’s a different issue.”

You can't make this shit up.

So, what countries were you referring to that we need to take cues from? Of course, there will continue to be spikes with elevated case numbers, but if you dig in, you will see that hospitalizations and deaths are uniformly lower depending on the rate of vaccination. See Israel, whose case number spike you were obsessed with just a few weeks ago. Their death rate got nowhere near the rate here, they quickly implemented boosters and it's now 1/10 of ours.

Regardless of vaccination - this is over 99% survival. With early treatment and prevention - it goes even higher - not counting the experimental jab. I have said repeatedly - look at the countries using ivermectin. Why are you ignoring all the athletes just dropping like flies all of a sudden - something which has NEVER happened before at this magnitude?

This stuff that follows the virus is messing up the world. I don't mean the sick/dead folks...the other stuff. It's got every one fighting/arguing, necessary systems are interrupted, the foundations of countries are being dismantled. This is the world,
world cases.JPG

But this is Chyna, how can this be? and don't just say they fought the virus aggressively. About 1.5 billion people, near 20% of the worlds population....something ain't right with this, I'm wondering what they cooked up in the lab.

Hey @alnav, if Corminaty is the "fully approved" vax - why are you still not able to get it in this country? Why are you only able to get the EUA jab, which a federal judge just ruled is NOT the same as Corminaty....

Seems Pfizer seems to like their liability protection with the EUA jab....but, nothing to see here, I'm sure. Get another booster to be protected from Omicron (which is much less deadly) and be happy...

Almost everyone in the world realizes that 1% of the population is still a significant number. And that 5 million worldwide deaths so far, 1/5 in the U.S. is not insignificant either.
Suppose you get a Christmas gift of a jar of M&Ms. There are about 400 M&M's in this gift jar. 80 of them will make you sick. 1 will kill you. Another 3 will kill individuals who are elderly with certain conditions.
How many M&M's will you and your family eat? Maybe you have a wife or a beloved grandmother or child. How many M&Ms will you give to them?
If I wear my mask I can't eat M&Ms, so there's that.

Wait, the first Omicron case in the US was in a vaccinated person. Please, @alnav, continue to tell me how awesome this damn vax is....turns out, it really is a pandemic of the vaccinated...
