So, lets talk weather....

Windy, with a few inches of wet snow last night. Everything is plastered white, power has been out for about 10hrs now. Some 25 footers here & there up on Superior
Nothing stuck by us….i should have warned you

I kinda figured it was you...you put the snowblower away too early again didn't you?

We need the snow/rain, I don't mind except the power was out for about 19hrs. My generator took over so I burned some extra LP.
In full disclosure, I thought about it, but didn’t. I decided to break the skid on the chute from the last snow storm instead.

Dock is going in this weekend. Don’t care if it gets 20 below and the lake freezes over, it’s going in. It’s been teasing Spring all Winter and if Spring won’t come, I’ll force it.

60 degree weather in Chicago yesterday before winds shifted from the north. Here is a pic from in front of Planetarium last night as the sun was setting. No signs of thugs or migrants, just a pleasant evening with family at the exhibits.

We might set or at least tie a record low this morning. It's 28° right now with another hour or so of dropping temps. 26° is the record. Regardless it's friggin cold out. I'm fixing to find out first hand soon. Almost time for the morning walk with my dog.

We can see glimpses of the northern lights tonight in Oklahoma, bet you northerners are gettin a good show.
I didn't look at all as I'm in a metro area with all sorts of light around....but I guess I could have seen some with some pictures being shown on the local news this morning. Oh well.

I got called to work, this is on my way back to the house that second pic was a area that burned in the wild fires I posted about a while back

Yesterday afternoon, when the wind changed from the north, the lake got hazy and smelled like a structure fire. I turned on the local fire scanner and nothing was on. Turns out I guess, it’s more Canadian wild fires - is that right? This would be 3 years in a row we’re getting smoked out by them.
