1.68 inches of rain over the last 24 hours. Impressive and the lakes need it. One more batch by 10ish. Then snow this afternoon and lows in the mid 20's tonight.

After the huge Volusia County fire in Florida about 30 years ago now (it canceled the Firecracker 400 in Daytona that year). Florida is doing a good job with controlled burns to keep underbrush under control. Every state should do that.we had 50 mph winds in Oklahoma yesterday, wild fires all over the state shut down interstate North of OKC and turnpike between OKC and Tulsa, brutal
California needs to learn about that…After the huge Volusia County fire in Florida about 30 years ago now (it canceled the Firecracker 400 in Daytona that year). Florida is doing a good job with controlled burns to keep underbrush under control. Every state should do that.
But, is it better than "Minnesocold"?
I bought an Ariens all steel, two stage 28” self propelled machine that I call “Brutus”. Best Boat Buck I have ever spent on a non boating item.Ha. We had a few years in a row with a lot of snow in mid 2000s. So i bought a Toro Snow blower. Used it twice. Then the squirrels rats whatever got in shed and destroyed it. Waste of $400. Its going in the next bulk trash pickup.
Enough is enough already.... I'd be looking for some place to hang myself....View attachment 142216

I'd bet it's hard to plow with all that snow on the windshield.Over a foot of wet, heavy nasty stuff, hard plowing or blowing.

I don’t have any 4 wheel toys yet so I used my 8hp snowblower. A 1/2hr job took 1.5hrs with this wet heavy sloppy garbage. Then I had to hand shovel my 75’ deck. Nice day tho….Over a foot of wet, heavy nasty stuff, hard plowing or blowing.

My plow truck is at end of life, been going round and round on what to replace it with. If the future winters are going to bring more snow I'm going to need something different or an addition to a pickup. I run out of room to push the snow with the pickup. This wet snow screwed things up, I'm down to a blade width wide road now. If we get more I'll have to hire a big machine in to push the snowbanks back to make room.I don’t have any 4 wheel toys yet so I used my 8hp snowblower.
