I’ve been watching it for a week now. Sometimes it’s trying to miss us.

in addition we could have -40 degree wind chills.

My meteorologist friend says the models are exactly like they were back in 1978 where we got the blizzard of 78. Could get 30” in Northern IL or a dusting. Still too early to tell. Give it a few more days.

I live in Indiana, but about 10 years ago I was interested into taking my boat to Lake Cumberland. I found a Lake Cumberland website. And joined. This is when I found out about this Kentucky website.

So I have been following this weatherman for 10 years. He has been the most consistent weatherman that I have known in my six decades of life. A lot of his weather forecast include my city, Indianapolis. Anyways, this is what he says about Kentucky. I have never known him to say this five days in advance.

We have the Artic Blast going to hit us in Northern Illinois also... BUT there is also the chance of a blizzard like in 1978... maybe as much as 30" of snow...
Or just 2"... to early to tell exactly..

The local TV stations are already getting worked up over the "storm". It'll be a mess because it starts with rain tomorrow and then switch over to snow at some point overnight. Oh well....

By the way, we have a whopping 9 hrs and 2 mins of daylight today. Not sun... Haven't really seen it for a while

18" to 24" of snow forecast for the Straits area Friday/Saturday. The snowmobile trails are bare for the most part so this will jumpstart the season for the sledders.

They have toned down the forecast for here in Northern Illinois from 12” -18” to 2”-4”.
