Siruis Problems

Sirius is way too expensive. Besides them, Slacker & Pandora, what else is out there for Satellite Radio??

Sirius/XM (same company) is the only satellite radio option out there. Pandora and Slacker (and all others) are Internet radio and only work with a Internet connection. That is why satellite is still worth it to me so I can get reception out on the lake.

Sirius / XM is basically a music jukebox. The libraries for each channel are so small, they have to offer numerous channels because you become the ultimate dial hopper. It really depends on what you want to listen to.

Pandora and services like that aren't available here north of the 49th. They may be free now, but wait until they hit critical mass, you'll have commercials as well as a user fee. Plus, you pay for your data usage when running it though your Smartphone, iPad or similar device.

I listen to Sirius / XM as well as the old fashioned radio (that's what I do).

The issue with the radio seems to me to be a hardware problem and not the lone available satellite provider.

I have multiple Sirius radios. Unknown to me recently I had a $3.95 balance due to cc expiration.

It always amazes me what I learn on this site. My card was compromised and you guys reminded me that my xm account had an autopay with the old card.

thanks

they credited my 1.25 balance. probably cost that much just in the 800 number costs for my 15 minute wait.

good luck with the download/activation issue

Do any of you other guys have a problem with your Sirius radio? I get service a good period of time and then all of a sudden out of nowhere I hear chops of static that break up the music (almost like a CD skipping)

had to do a cold reboot ...dis assemble, unplug, etc. put it all back another call to india and Works like a charm now

I for one am glad that Sirius is so screwed up. In 2010 I bought a new truck and the Sirius reciever was enabled. I thought maybe it was a limited time free trial and would stop after a while. Three years later and it is still working. I have not payed a cent for it.
