Sink Draining Slow

Ever since I bought the boat the sink drain in the galley drains very slow. Is there any thing in the drain line that could be clogged I should look at?

Have a look at the hose running from the sink to the hull outlet. You will find it has an uphill loop in it.

There was a thread on this awhile back. It works as trap to prevent engine fumes from entering from outside the hull. Eg; generator, neighbours boat tied alongside etc.

In the end, I replace the hose on mine and took the loop out

You may want to try a small plunger first. I keep one on board just for the sinks.

What I've done a few times is take a garden hose/nozzle and blast it directly into the drain. That pressure will flush out the clog. It has worked great for me.

+1 for the hose idea, also check to see that the loop is not too high. If it is up close to the drain then the water will drain slow because there isn't enough volume to push it up over the top of the loop. Lower it until it drains to your satisfaction then refasten it. Good Luck.

We have the same boat, mine was stopped up just last week. Open the cabinet below and look at the 90 degree elbow directly under the sink. After trying to snake it out with a fish tape, I took mine apart and it had "stuff" in it, cleaned it out and blew out the hose that goes over board. Any of the above suggestions would probably work.

The fish tape method worked on the cockpit sink last year.
