:huh:OK, here's one for U guys.
A "SHORELINE" no not Shoreliner, but a SHORELINE trailer.
Never heard of it, but looking for parts.
It is very strange, and going to be difficult to describe. The only way I can describe it is:
A dump truck wheel and tire from a Mack truck. If U were to take the wheel off, the "spokes" would be left on the trailer. The wheel consists of a circle with a tire and not the center (that i'm referring to as the spokes, where U would put the lug nuts). The spokes on the trailer are fastened to the wheel with a sort of "wedge" type metal that holds the wheel in place.:wow:
These drums seem to be quite worn and may need replacement. Not only that, the hydraulic coupler(actual hitch) piece needs to be replaced as well.
OR....... would it be more conducive to scrap the hydro system :smt089 and go electric???? Like that guy posted before?????:smt024
****Looking for parts**** and or ideas...
Thanks in advance,
Brian

What you just described is the type that is commonly used on mobile homes.

The type of wheels you are refering to are called "Dayton Wheels", but more commonly called "shit spreader" wheels. If at all possible, I would change the hubs out. The first time you have to change a flat you'll understand. It involves mounting the wheel/tire, tighten the clamps down, place a 2 lb. hammer (handle pointed up) next to the edge of the tire. Then spin the tire. About this time you will notice the incredible amount of wobble, so you get to start all over again.

Thanks for all of your help guys.................
I did find a lot of the info helpful, and was able to rebuild the ENTIRE brake system for approx $300.
R MOSS---------U R the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That web site has INEXPENSIVE parts galore. It worked out beautifully.
I found that the entire system was a DICO brake system.
Thanks again for all your help.
