she wants a ring

This gal sounds like a real wack job, You dont need the drama!!!!! She is all about herself and theres no room for you!!!! If this relationship were to work, your balls will be in her purse. Do the right thing and buy yourself a new boat and get on wih it! ( you were looking for a girlfriend when you found her)

I too was once where you are, its not easy but time heals all and the next one is always hotter.
It helps to date a women you dont really care about.
..if you want to be happy for the rest of your life never make a pretty women your wife...

The next one is always hotter because you are more and more and more reserved. It takes a lot bigger lure to get you to bite each time.

Wasn't that a song? http://www.lyricsdownload.com/jimmy-soul-if-you-wanna-be-happy-lyrics.html

I disagree. If she wasn't hot, I be a serious A-hole. I guess it depends on who you are. If you're a really great, caring, loving guy, don't marry a hot chick - she'll own you. On the other hand, if you're a shallow, un-caring, selfish SOB, such as myself, be sure to get one that'll keep your attention until you grow up yourself, otherwise you'll go through a few of them, and that can get expensive.

Life's way too short to hang with chicks that are unreasonable or fugly. Move on, and if you need to borrow Ginger in between, let me know.

Just remember "Life sucks and then you die!"

What he said...

I had a GF who wanted a ring a long long time ago. I bought a boat. She took a walk. Never regretted the boat. Bonus with the boat, it's easier to trade for a prettier model.

Good advice. If she wants to control this portion of your relationship, just imagine what the rest of your life would look like together.

Never be forced into a life decision...or any other decision for that matter.

I had to buy my wife two (2) engagement rings before she married me... I learned the first one doesn't count if she dumps you for another guy and then comes crawling back for a second chance... And the second has to be bigger than the first...

well.. that's my side of the story but she doesn't read CSR so she'll never know.

Gary, let me get this right now. You buy her a ring, she dumps you, then comes crawling back, you buy her another one then cart her all over the place on a beautiful 480 DB and she is still angry. Man, i hope she takes good care of your parakeet!!!

LOL Thanks, I needed that laugh!

Uhhh... you guys got me worried, now... I'm only engaged. Should I trade her in on a bigger boat?

Depends where she is on the depreciation curve. They tend to hold their value for a few years but without a lot of maintenance and repair, they lose their value pretty quickly.

Even with, eventually. If they're still around after that long, both by their choice and yours, they're probably a keeper anyway. Must be a good person - and dentures.

Should be a "Nose Ring" in there someplace after the wedding ring :wow:

I was thinking a ring a wee bit South... if you catch my drift:wink:

Doug
