Skilled personnel at the marina want to launch and load without me getting in their way. They use a forklift with a ball on one of the tines. I was embarrassed last year when the owner had to use the puny emergency handle on my electric trailer winch to haul my boat in. Rather than taking the electric winch off and figuring out how to do the heavy work of replacing the original manual winch, I put a no longer trustworthy but serviceable battery on the side of the trailer. When I was doing Anderson connectors, I had put one on the end of a set of heavy jumper cables. These worked. The owner loaded again this year and commented, "Deluxe!"
Incidentally, those are plastic pipe bows under the snap on tonneau cover per the suggestion of Lazy Daze many moons ago. Right, there goes the neighborhood!

Thats one heck of a wiring job. Makes sense to wrap in circles instead of a straight run.

I think you need to mount a prop to an alternator and use it as a wind generator to keep the battery charged. Don't forget to over-prop the alternator. I heard that over-propping is a good thing to do.

Electrical cable wrapped around an iron (steel) core is an electromagnet, correct?

Love the submersible battery.

The OP’s picture is exactly how I envisioned it. Over engineered for problems that don’t exist. It’s a 20ft bow rider.

At the very least a simple jump-pack in your back pocket would solve the entire "problem"

Sorry, I'm late to reply....

That's the dumbest ****** thing I ever saw. I hope it is not parked at a launch ramp. I live in an upscale neighborhood, nevertheless that battery AND winch would be gone in a few hours.

I have 3 boats with PowerWinch Brand winches (the best there are), and 2 towcars. The winces are all on QD brackets so they can be put in the car when at the ramp. I thought about only having one and swapping them, but it was a hassle so I simply bought 3. One single battery pack with a long wire goes to whatever vehicle is being used, and it's easy peasy no muss no fuss.

Most importantly, though, is that it doesn't look stoopid.

With all these additions, I wonder if the boat ever gets washed? Looks pretty fuzzy at the waterline and the gel coat is dull.
