My boat is pewter sides and white with black canvas on the tower.
I replaced the ignition switch and everything is working great. I'm finally gaining confidence in the boats dependability. Nothing like a $40 part fixing a problem.

New forum member here. Just found this club/ forum. Have 2008 270 SLX purchased in May of 08. Love the boat.

Have previously owned many Searays the last 2 previous to this 270 was a 340 SD and prior to that a 280SD both in Daytona before being transferred here.

Boat on Lake Lanier in north Atlanta area. Keep boat dry stacked.

Pictures to come soon.

Boat Name is HydroGlide

Hey everyone! I haven't been on this site in months. Very busy.
Haven't been on the boat much, unfortunately. Went for a cruise this evening after the boat was sitting for about a month, unused. SmartCraft System Fault went off indicating Low Voltage. Will be down at the boat tomorrow, what are the things that I should try? Using "Both" batteries instead of just one or the other? It said it could've been caused by loose or corroded wires. How can I check those? Not much of a mechanic. Will probably have to have a pro look at it, but would like some leads that I may be able to look into in the morning.

Thanks in advance-

after sitting that long i'd guess the batteries need to be charged.

also might want to check the battery terminals for corrosion.

Thanks guys!
I actually ran on "Both" batteries tonight, rather than alternating between the two, which gave them a chance to charge up. Someone suggested that since the automatic bilge was in use because of rainwater, it defaults to Battery #1, so when I ran on Battery #1 last night, it was low on power because of supporting the auto bilge without being recharged. This seemed to do the trick and I didn't get a fault on the SmartCraft tonight! Much more relaxing when the alarms aren't sounding!

I always have the switch set to "Both" when running, so both batteries take a charge. My auto bilge pump is also attached to the #1 battery. The only reason I change the switch at all is because the guys at our high and dry always forget to turn the switch to off, so I set it to 1 or 2 to make sure I have one battery charged when they put her back in.

Has anyone had to replace their anchor? Just curious to cost. The manager of our high and dry called to tell me they bent my anchor when they were putting the boat up - the fork lift operator clipped an outdrive with the anchor. I can't imagine that the hawse (sp?) pipe wasn't damaged, but he said it wasn't. They are going to replace the anchor. If it isn't fixed by Friday, I will take it off. No way I'm cruising the lake with a bent anchor hanging off the bow!

I imagine someone got a call about their outdrive being replaced too. That had to be quite an impact to bend a SS anchor!

Jeez, that's kinda scary. No idea on the cost, but it can't be cheap.

Has anyone had any trouble with the DTS? When I shift from neutral to forward I have to push the throttle quite aways before it engages into forward gear. Reverse is fine. This just started and it does not do it every time. It's really no problem if it doesn't get any worse. Is there an adjustment somewhere?
