Ah yes paul I know where that is went past it when I went up the hawkesbury there's an island there full of houses just before that really cool looking big bridge? That's a beautiful area!!
Definately a thought my friend !! Would be neat if we were neighbors, do you live up near to there or have to drive a ways to get to your boat? What's the community at the marina like sort of like what Ozzie described people hanging out in dock at their boats?
Have to see how it all pans out! I may have a spot right neat Bondi working on it that would be the prefect spot for me!
I am now at day 3 on the water and starting to already go a bit stir crazy! So will take the boat into DH for the day tomorrow and go home it's only 25 bucks for five hours. Plus need to pick up some supplies. My inverter died on me let out a huge spark I opened it up changed out the fuses and it just blew again it's dead! Have to have one as I will go nuts without my computer out here!! Would have to run the gen constantly just to keep the comp and my phone up makes no sense to spend that much in fuel just for that.
Plus will pick up a solar panel kit with regulator only makes sense to get all this if I might be living on her for a bit!
Been trying to edit that video but run out of power with my laptop! Don't want to put the raw file up as its 15 mins nobody wants to watch a boat going along for 15 mins so I have been speeding up the boring parts and slow it down when a landmark or anything interesting is on! Got it down to five mins. Will get it finished tomorrow when I'm in DH and have power!
My cousin has been told he has to get his boat out of there dunno how he's going to do it and the things he is saying as solutions are crazy!
It's a 62" north sea trawler all wood. The electrical system is fried and that's jut one of the problems. It's out of the water on a ramp now well sort of when the tide comes up the water is about half way up the hull. Here's the thing the whole bottom needs redoing and leaks bad so bad in fact when the tide comes up the water level inside the boat matches the tide level even with four bilge pumps running!
He's talking about putting this rubber stuff and copper panels where it leaks. And taking it into the bay it's crazy! It doesn't float has no electrics don't think he's ever used the engine says the gen works but with his wiring being completely shot what good is that. He says between the rubber and copper and having bilge pumps always on he won't sink! I think it's an insane idea and he will end up on the bottom of the bay! Just nuts!! I really hope he doesn't do it it's just a stupid idea. He just doesn't want to let the boat go can't blame him for that but I don't think this is a solution!
