What's wrong with this picture? I was poking around on YachtWorld and ran across this image. Can anyone notice something odd in terms of build quality? This is an ad for a Four Winns 288 Vista, btw.

It might be interesting to poke some fun at those "other guys" and generally assert our obvious superiority.
Any one else run across similar issues before settling on Sea Ray?

I am by no means a Four Winns fan, but I believe what you're seeing is an optical illusion due to the camera angle. If you have the ability to blow up the pic I believe you'll see what I'm mean.

I have only known 2 owners of Four Winns and were not impressed with the engine room access of both of them. Both guys bought them because they were trying to please there wives. Both tried to sell and had to take steep losses to get a deal after being on the market for over a year.

That could very well be. My eyes aren't what they used to be. That said, that window looks way crooked no matter how I size the image.

It appears the window is mounted on an angle (bottom is closer than top) most likely due to being on a hull side, and there is a shelf/flat area directly above the couch that is very small on the right hand side and much larger on the left hand side.

Definitely an optical illusion. And yes ..no fan of Four Winns regardless.

My last boat was a 268 Vista, loved the boat, loved the quality. My main complaint was the engine hatch was not motorized. Also, there was no place to store the table when not in use.

Engine room was tight, but on a 268 with a mid cabin berth, it gets tight

I loved the four Winns 378, just was a littl out of my reach at the moment

Funny, I used to Hate Carver. Thought they were cheaply made after looking at a few of them in my younger years.
I have owned two Sea rays, four Four winns, one Power Play and now a Carver. I thought the Four Winns had better build Quality than the Sea Rays. Power Play beat them all. Now Sea Rays had good bolt on items compared to the other's. Now my Carver. Lets just say sometimes you make fun of something till you try it.

I cant speak to the picture, but I've owned a 24' Four Winns for 20 years and it has been a fantastic boat. Zero complaints.

I suspect that window is aligned with the lines of the hull, not with the lines of the interior. That would make sense.

I've always liked FW's. I've never seen one with what I thought was inferior workmanship or design, but then, I haven't seen tons of them.
