I have a 1986 Sea Ray Sundancer that i bought last year, with twins on it. It has a huge Lean to the Starboard side even when the fresh water tank is full on the port side. It Leaned the first day we put it in and was dry docked for 5 years and shrink wrapped too so i dont think the hull is holding water. I do have dual batteries and basically everything inside the boat is on the Starboard side. How the heck can i fix this without adding weight to the port side?? Does my fuel tank have a devider in it where i may not be pulling from both sides equally?

My friends 1988 268 has always leaned to starboard????? His is a single 454 Alpha1. Never could figure it out. My '90 270 sits perfectly level in the water, Mike.

wow that's odd, I don't think it's characteristic of the model itself because mine doesn't lean. about the only other thing I can think of you didn't check is your holding tank being full or empty.

I have a lean to Starboard as well. A full water tank helps but I have two group 27 batteries on the Starboard as well. If my holding tank is over 3/4 full it'll really lean. Full water and empty holding tank she is level at the dock. Do you have other things stored in the cabin under cushions etc that might be holding some weight. I still wouldn't rule out water in foam on these boats. I don't care how long it was out of the water. Once the foam in these old boats gets wet it is almost impossible to dry out.

My dad's 87 270 dancer leans starboard as well. I always assumed its because he never carries fresh water in the tank. Mostly a day boater and doesnt stay on board. He's got the twin 4.3 engine package too.

I wonder is there a devider in the fuel tanks and the twins are both pulling off one side

Trying to remember, but I think we only fuel from one spot on my dad's boat. One big tank just under the deck hatches covers which looks almost like an aluminum bulkhead forward of the floor decking hatches.
