I have a 34 SR and the hatch motor is slow going up and down. When I measure the voltage at the motor it goes from 14V to 7V on the lift and 14V to 9V on the downard
movement. I have checked the easy to get at connections.

Has anyone seen this before, I hate to order a new motor for it and have the same problem.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated:huh:

did you load test batteries? maybe motor is not a problem.

No I did not, both engines start very nicely and when I hit the hatch switch and watch the voltage meter in the cabin, they stay above 12 volts. Wacky problem,

you could run new wires straight to battery to diagnose if there is a problem with existing wiring or switch. taking it apart and lubricating all gears and shaft may help too.

Will run wires direct to motor tomorrow to see if that gives her a turbo boost.

Mine is starting to do the samething. Sometimes it does not work at all. I could not find just a motor. The OEM would only sell the whole assembly. MM want $900, and I found it directly from the OEM distributer for around $300... Bottom line, is I did not want to replace it to find out it was a loose connection... I plan cleaning the connectin and greesing as was suggest above... I think this is a common problem for 1999-2002 340s...
