I installed the HDR610 last summer and noticed that power to the unit is always on. The manual shows connecting to a separate 1-Amp fuse on the fuse panel. How do I connect to the ignition switch so the unit is on when the engine is running or ignition is on auxiliary?

The 1k shoot thru hull size is like 6"L X 6"W X 8"H
Check the website for airmar transducers.
They are coming out with a 1K TM260 transom mount.
Check out the B 164 and B 60 flush mount tilted element transducers. There designed for trl boats

I have installed a shoot through on my 2005 205 sport and it works great. I just haven't glued it down yet. For testing i just set it in the bottom of the boat and it worked.

Theres more to it then that.
When the boats moving, No airated turbulent water moving across the transducer face. Wont hold bottom at speed.

Tech people say....
Mount to the inside of lifting strakes,Not to outside or top of stringers or lifting strakes. Nothing in front of ducer. Nothing to disturb the waterflow over the face of the ducer.
Need to look under your boat.
