since its been sometime since you posted this I'd like to ask how it's held(holding) up???This is the Ebay stuff. Peel & stick 3M adhesive and then for insurance I sealed the outside edge with black 4200.

I just installed Seadek last Summer on my swim platform. It does not get hot.I know they have a 1st and 2nd generation of sea dek (primarily 30% lighter in weight and cooler to the touch) I've stepped on some of the 1st gen stuff and wow, does it get hot on bare feet. I assume it'll hold up I'm more concerned about the temperature on my feet.
Looking for opinions. I am also going to be ordering seadek for my swim platform. Opinions welcome on what would look better...traditional teak color with black striping or gray color with black striping which would match the blue canvas and blue and gray accents of the boat.
Thanks in advance
I just received a quote for the swimstep only for REAL TEAK @ $5900 (too much for me) but he said the swimstep with faux teal would run about $3000. I see your quote at $3k covers bothe the swimsteo And cockpit. Maybe the real guy is trying to justify his 5900?!?!I apologize if this as been convered before, or it belongs in a different forum. I did a quick search and did not find what I was looking for.
That being said, I am being quoted about $3000 for sea dek and install in the cockpit and swim platform of my 2006 340.
Anyone else who has had it done willing to share their costs?
Thanks!
I paid $30 per square foot measured and installed. Did my swim platform, cockpit and fly bridge on my 400 sedan.
I'm going on my 3rd season with the SeaDek on my little boat. It has never been hot and it still looks like new. I have the gray color.
We paid $4500 for the Seadeck measured and installed. It was $5,000 even, but I lined up several of my buddies boats for him to do at the same time, so he knocked 10% off. Castaway Customs did mine. I asked their rep to email me his cad file so that I could see the layout that he put together. There are quite a few pieces for a 400Drafter, just came back from the Annapolis Bay Bridge Boat Show. Dealers for Seadeck and MarineMat were there. I’m not sure what my sq footage is but I had a quote for MarineMat installed at around 4000-4500 (sight unseen) for the platform, cockpit and steps (no bridge).
