Smitty - You are reusing your manifolds? Maybe that is why they did not send the gaskets? Just make sure they are not hidden in the paper stuffing. Do you think the plating is enough coating?

Mike...Did you get everything in and run her this weekend? I did mine on Saturday. Took me 4 hours total. Ran the engine and discovered water shooting out of the risers on both sides. Took a look and realized that I didnt put pipe plugs in. (the original risers didn't have these holes) Plugged them up, re started the boat and let her run for 1/2 hour. Came up to 180 degrees then the thermostat opened and temp dropped back down to 170. Kept an eye on her and she ran great. Hope yours went easy.
I'd have to see it for sure but I seem to recall those 'plugs' are like one way check valves that act as a vacuum break to keep water from entering the engine.

@ Doug...Here is one of the plugs. There was one located on each side of the risers. I assume I was just supposed to plug them up since there were no hoses or anything that went on the oem risers.

Dennis,
That stud puller is a Craftsman. I have had it forever. I hope they still sell it.
I think I am also guilty of the hose clamps. I put them all back on rotated 180, except on the Y pipe, since I never really removed those. Mine were just like Smittys.
Mike
Especially using the cut studs to hold those damn manifolds in place when installing!
