I have a 2008 230 select with a 350 mag.
I finally picked it up from storage/de-winterization yesterday.
The dealer simply leaves the keys in the ignition when the boat becomes ready for pickup, so after parking my boat in the driveway i figured what the heck, i'll open it up, take a look, and snatch my keys.
I popped the engine compartment to see what looks like rust that appears to have come from one of the blue plugs on the front side of the engine.
I'd say it looks to be the amount of a teaspoonful or 2. It's not a stain at this point as i could wipe it away with my finger.
Anyhow, the boat was winterized by an authorized dealer, which sold me the boat, and it was stored indoors for the course of the off season. Last year was the boats first season, and has around 25 hours on it total.
Do i have a problem with the rust being there or at least coming from the engine?
