I need to replace some worn out camper top snaps. Where can i get a kit with the same black snaps as on my current top? I need the rivet tool as well. It does not have to anything fancy the top is getting old. Thanks:huh:

I got my snaps from Great Lakes Boat Top also. I got the black ones and should have bought their tool. I called them, they're great to deal with and very helpful.
I didn't buy their snap tool thinking that I could get it cheaper somewhere else but that didn't work out. I think I ended up paying more.

Mike, just out of curiousity, what tool did you buy ? I may be changing carpet this year and would be in the market for one.

i just bought a set off ebay a few weeks ago. something like 12 black studs, caps, sockets and posts for $8 or $9 i think it was. invest in the Press n' Snap tool. you should be able to find one on ebay or the web for around $120 or so with a few dies. you won't regret having one. sailrite is a good source as mentioned.

If your going to do carpet snaps also I suggest looking at the one I bought last year it will do anything they have all the dies and accessories. All the pro shops in this area I've been to use this tool.

All that have mentioned the better tool are referencing this one that Bob linked. I just got mine from Great Lakes with an order for convenience. It is worth the money.
