I removed the reg. stickers using a hair dryer and my fingernails. There is still the glue and little pices of stickers on the hull. Whats the best way to clean the rest of this up?

Whatever you use make sure to follow up by cleaning then polishing or waxing!

I understand Sentinal 747 removes all the goop.

Just used the Goo Gone on my sticker glue, it is very easy and seems to be pretty gentle. I think my garage door opener is the culprit, I get a few small grease spots in the carpet from time to time, and the Goo Gone takes these out very well.

I was thinking of removing all of the reg./warning stickers as well, but was wondering if that was a no-no.

I think the warning stickers are legally required. There's not much you can do if they get old and fade/fall off but I don't think that removing them intentionally is a good idea.

I just took a boat safety course, and one comment in the book is: "Federal law requires that single-hull vessels have a capacity plate if less that 20 feet in length." Does not apply to PWC and sailboats.

So, some stickers probably are legal requirements. My Sea Ray literature seems to imply that Sea Ray will gladly send replacment stickers if you lose yours.

I'm so used to seeing them, I think it is just part of the character of boating - and a reminder that using equipment safely and sanely is an important part of the fun!

When I first saw this thread, I thought the reference was just to something like the (bi-annual in my case) registration sticker.
