Removing my gennie?

Most of this model 290s are were sold new, without a gennie. the water tank is centered under the aft berth. The 16gal holding tank is starboard and the water heater is port. The gennie is port. It does not list now but I have to use a bit more port tab when on plane.

Quint, how difficult is it to get out? If not to much trouble and you need to do some maintenance to it why not? I agree that it may not make much of a difference.

Based on everything you said, this is really a maintenance issue. If you are going to work on the gennie and it will be out for a while, why not run the boat and see how it goes.

That is really the bottom line to the whole deal....it is 18 degrees here right now. When it warms up I will size up the job, if it looks like a simple task I'll pull it for maintenance.

Did you pull it? I need to pull the one on the 300 Sundancer I just purchased. Probably will on the Weekender to, Just for maintence. Is it two man lift capable?

Like I said, it is 18 degrees in SW Ohio today.....we will see how ambitious I am come Spring. I will hoist it out with a come-long if I do it. I figure the port Riser and elbow will have to come off....no big deal.

Quint, if you're thinking about doing some maintenance and clean up of the gen and where it sets, see what difference it makes....why not?

You and I have the same weather today. Is a balmy 19 degrees here this morning with snow and ice everwhere.
Come on Spring!!!!!!
