I’m going to work with a friend that does custom vinyl graphics to come up with something a little simpler.

boat is still in need of a little tint on the windows

When I saw the topic my first thought was oh no...but I actually like it. It's a nice clean look. I wouldn't do it to mine cause my boat would be all white with nothing to break it up, but with the red I really like it.

Maybe a real dumb question, but why did you not just purchase it without the graphic  I thought the graphic package was an option :smt017 By the way I like the clean lines now

the boat came with the graphics...

i just wasn't a fan of the graphics from the start and decided they needed to go. with any luck i will get around to getting the new ones done soon.

I like it without the graphics too. I'm not that much of a fan of the "wake board" type of graphics on all the new boats.

Took about 2 hours.

All I used was my fingernail to get the stickers/graphics off. Then I went back over all the lines left by the adhesive with Goo Gone and a clean towel.

The pinstripes and the :smt021 low emissions sticker :smt021 took the most amount of time.

I like it...nice clean lines! I have been wanting to do the samething myself.

Ehaze How did you remove the graphics and how long did it take? This looks like an all day job.

You can use a hair dryer or a heat gun to soften the stickers then they come right off.

It does look good. Kinda of Cobalt-like. :wow:  It's not a bad thing......

I took mine off as well....in Photoshop, although not a pro-Photoshop job. I have a complete new set for mine and thought about taking all of mine off for a while and see how it looks. Being a solid color I'm sure it would look like a big bathtub.

Then likely pay someone to put the new ones on. I've heard it's not bad but best left to someone that does it on a regular basis and knows the tricks. The other thing is that I know mine will be bathtub shiny underneath and the gel raised. It may stand out a little but might make it easier to use as a guide putting the new ones on.

(dang, took 8 tries to degrade the pic quality so it would be tiny enough to post! :smt009 )

I think your 240 would look good if you put the Sea Ray logo on the side (like the current 240SD) and the new decals they are using on the hulls of the 2007 models since that is a very understated design. I would forgo the decals on the upper deck. I bet that set up would look really slick! And then you could tell everyone that yours is a prototype 2008 model with the new 500HP option.

I was thinking Cobalt too. I've considered removing mine too. I'm not in to the "chopper" look, I love the clean lines. The boat looks smooth. I just wonder if a little thing like removing the graphics would hurt resale?

It looks great! I've been thinking about doing mine ever since I saw a black Select with just the SLX near the stainless corsa exhaust ports.

Now that I've seen yours, I'm definitely going to do it. I like the more classic look of the boat.

Then, in the future, I can always have some custom graphics thrown on.

Thanks for sharing the pics!

I liked it better before, I dont like my graphix on mine, and want to upgrade. This would be my chance to throw some yellow on it as well. Cant wait to see how it turns out.
