We took a few friends and my stepdaughter to a place called Stehekin, Wa. It's at the end of the 50 mile long Lake Chelan.
Lake Chelan is the third deepest lake in the US at 1486' at it's deepest.
This was the first time I pulled this boat any farther than to the marina I keep her at, appx five miles away.
I took my truck in to have the transmission fluid changed a week earlier, and ended up getting it rebuilt by a guy that "bullet proofs" them.
The 7.3 powerstroke is a pretty good engine, but the transmissions are a weak point.

We arrived at the lake the night before everyone else so I i could get the boat ready at my leisure.
We ate dinner at The Bill Collectors son and daughter-in-law's new restaurant.
It had good food, good service, and really good Long Island Ice Tea's.

The next morning the majority of the people arrived and we got loaded up and headed to the end of the lake.
I didn't take a lot of pics, but here's a couple.
Heading up lake, i had to stand the whole time, and it was super cold.

Nice, thank you for sharing, looks like it was a great trip! I'm amazed that you are able to tow the 310, that's quite the load!

It towed quite nicely.
I took my time, and didn't get in a hurry.
It was a great time, it was our fifth time there, and most everyone else's first.
No cell phone signal, and the town of Stehekin is one of a kind.
Lots of hiking in the area.

Thank you for supporting my son & daughter in laws new place... I'm glad to hear it was good, they are barely open a month and getting their wiggles out, but so far nothing but good news and a couple of recommendations... Looks like a great trip on Lake Chelan.

Greg thanks for sharing the photos. Stehekin is a great place to visit and you are spot on with your comment about it being one of a kind. Did anyone go swimming? I can personally attest to how cold that water is from prior experience.

Mark, is your son's restaurant in Chelan, somewhere along the lake (25 mile creek?) or in Stehekin.

A few people took baths daily in the lake, but the wife and I used the boat.
One day everyone used the boat, but otherwise they used the lake.
I've been in it before, and it wasn't hot enough to get me in in on this trip.
I'm pretty sure the river that feeds the lake is glacier fed.

Is that boat considered an extra wide load? Looks intimidating to trailer.

It's just a wide load at 10'5".
It was the first time getting a permit, so i asked a friend that tows regularly, and I called the state agency that regulates wide loads quite a few times to make sure I was doing it right.
I'm more concerned about the height, but remedied that by hinging the arch to bring the height down to 13'.
I'll add that I've pulled trailers pretty much my whole driving life. At 16 we were headed deer hunting pulling three horses, and my dad couldn't stay awake, so I got my break in pulling three horses down the highway.
They don't stay still back in the trailer.
