I have a NMEA 2000 network tied in with my Raymarine e120 classic. I have a Mercruiser N2K gateway that takes smartcraft and turns it into NMEA 2000. I have a smartcraft sensor tied into my engine(s) that reads both my port and starboard tank %'s. As in percent full. I've attached a picture. Problem is.. even in the slip, not in gear, low wind and very little rocking on the boat, my tank percentages jump around SO much. For instance, I watched them for about a minute. Each tank jumped anywhere from 17% to 40% full. Just sitting there! It's terrible, and almost worse than analog that control the spiking. Is there anything I can do to get these to stop jumping around so much? It's terrible and I can't get an accurate reading for my tanks.

If you have the factory swing-arm fuel senders in the tank you could try replacing them with the sliding pick style such as those from Royce Industries. I did that on my 300DA and it significantly reduced the bouncing of the levels.

That would be a great start. Can you provide a link ?
