I only see a trim control that seems to move the engine up and down only a small amount. Should I be able to find a separate control that lifts the propeller way back and up to keep it away from the lift?
Raise engine before lifting the boat in the slip?

I think you may have newer three position switch IE. down,up and trailer. Push up a little harder and I'll bet it clicks into the trailer position and the drive will move all the way up to the trailer position.

On my SD, I just push a little hard on the switch and hold it until I hear the relief valve kick in... My trip sender is broken...
