Radio wine with fridge on

That was good actually had a nice laugh from that but it was expected lol but really its annoying and u can't shut the fridge off cuz then the drinks get cold and you can't have that

There is more than one way to solve the wine noise from AC appliances.

Has the wine always been there and you are just now wining about it?

Is this a new wine because you have made a recent change to the audio system? Any change at all?

I just bought the boat and recently turned on the fridge for the first time last week just to check if it worked and it did when I turned it on I had the radio on and notic the whine so I don't know how long it has been doing it. And yes I recently did the whole stereo over as well but never messed with any wires just swapped out head unit and swapped out speakers the only wire I changed was the helm remote. It does run right behind the main electrical panel so mayb I'll answe my own question and say its up against another wire.???

I am guessing you are connected to an external power amp? If so a simple Ground Loop Isolator may solve issue.

You may also try running the head units ground to the power amp ground terminal first and then to your chassis/battery ground. Let us know if you have multiple amps.

If you do not have external amp I would try disconnecting Remote completely just to rule out a poor ground potential.

With no external amp, Remote completely disconnected, noise present . . . you should suspect your current radio ground.

Wine or Whine that is the question. Now the answer:

Now there, their, they're, just relax.

There: Let's take the dinghy over there where the girls in bikinis are.

Their: Wow, look at their bikinis.

They're: They're taking off the bikinis.

They're taking off their bikinis over there.

Thanks for the suggestions will go try everything on sat . Well keep you posted thanks again

Ok so much for my bad joke. (I'm here all week) Does the stereo/radio whine all the time or only when listening to a radio station? Could be the antenna picking up the noise?

You may have a grounding issue, refig, radio or between. Ground loop, common between frig and radio, same ground wire...
Chance the frig is outputing HF energy in the bandwidth your radio is on. Not too likely as it has to pass FCC cert testing....

If you make a wide bw change on your radio you still here it?

If so, more likely a grounding issue...audio devices are great for being able to listen to noise on the ground system. Refigs are great outputting it on the ground...compressors...

There are radio ground isolators or you could run an isolated ground to that isolates the ground to the radio from the frig right from the battery or generator...
You can also test it by doing this with a wire to the battery ground direct to the radio...if it's easy access.

As an audio engineer we run isolated grounds for all audio devices from any other device, especially one with a compressor etc. That's our luxury at design...

Might not be your issue but it is a very common problem and this is the general root cause, ground system layout and connections....

This problem occurs pretty frequently. You're probably drinking chablis. Switch to a nice burgundy.

it whines on all stations and cd and axillary inputs so I'm guessing its a ground issue I will try to find a way to give it its own ground straight to the battery?
