Radar not showing returns.

I just installed a C80 with a new 2kw Radome. The radar is not showing returns. It will show a little bit then go to nothing on the screen. I have been out all weekend with plenty of boat traffic around me that it should show returns. I have all the settings set to auto and all the other features, GPS,Chart, navigation, etc... are working just fine. I did the diag. test through the C80 and all the tests it performs on itself say Passed. Any idea's? I will be calling Raymarine tomorrow, I'm at the boat now and figured I throw it out there. Thanks.

Turn up the lighting on your display. It may be set to night lighting.

I have had this happen to me a couple of times. To correct the issue I did a master reset on the c80. This resets everything back to factory settings. If I remember correctly you hold down the button that is next to the red power button while powering up the unit. While you are continuing to hold down the button you will see a 3 2 1 countdown and then hear a beep. Then you can release the button. Be advised, you will lose all your personalized settings and waypoints. You can back up your waypoints with a cf card before you do the reset.

The master reset should fix it if there is a problem. You stated some obvious things in your description of the problem but no mention of range. You have zoomed way in right?

Yeah, and from what I've read from others on this board the SR Navigator is just the epitome of state-of-the-art reliability.

It just got off the phone with Raymarine Tech Service... I have to send my brand new Radome back to Raymarine for warranty work, nice...

I hacked my srn and turned it into a server/waterproof display for video and security monitoring. So its not any better than the raymarine. But hey, my northstar and kvh stuff is bullet proof, including the gyro compass to replace the fluxgate from raymarine, (I had the identical problems as Gary with it)
