I need some opinions. As we plan our move to Florida next summer (Tampa-St. Pete area), we are starting to look at replacing our current boat. I will not be moving my 2009 310 sundancer due it being raw water cooled and it’s a ton of money to have converted. So I am trying to decide on a purchase of a new (2020) 320 sundancer with seacore stern drives, or possibly a 2016 350 sundancer with V drives. Not sure how many hours are on the 2016 350. I am in the seriously looking phase now.

Thanks

I would opt for the 2016 350, bigger, equivalent to my 07 320, 35’, 11.5 beam, v-drives give you option of wet slip or dry stack storage. Assuming it’s been well cared for and service history looks good. I personally, might opt for the 320 Sundancer outboard version, but that’s just me. They are selling well, I see a ton of them, and they keep showing off by anchoring right next to/on a sandbar.

The outboard version puts the 320 out of our price range. tough decisions to be made. I hope to have more info on the 2016 350 in the next few days. Downside to the 350 is its in New York. Getting up there to see it could be a challenge.

Plenty of knowledgeable guys on here may be willing to put eyes on it in NY if you ask. Mike

We are up in NY (Long Island) - which location is it at? We can probably at least get some eyeballs on it.

Kevin, The 350 is at a MarineMax dealer. Video says Huntington, NY, but "boat location" says Amityville. I have not contacted them yet. Looks clean in the video/pictures. It does not show the engines/bilge.

I can get to either location. PM me before contacting them I purchased my boat through them and already have a contact I would want to put you in touch with. You can also call me at Cove Marine 516-261-1000.

The V drives are the way to go... Kevin is a great person to check out your boat for you... To transport it Florida should not be that expensive, by truck. Others have shipped similar size boats, and if recall correctly, NY to FL would be about $5K... My friend Mike Aiello is the regional VP for MarineMax that includes LI... He usually works out of the Brick NJ office... If the boat is a trade, they should have more flexibility with trades and price...

It looks like it is a trade. I'm working with the MarineMax in Austin, TX now on optiona with my current 310. I would trade it with them (Austin) if I go with the 350.

I like both boats but it really depends on how you'll be using the boat? Tampa boating may be different than what you're use to so it's your call. The 320 is a party day boat with overnight capabilities and the 350 is a cruiser. I like the v-drives and can't offer any opinion on the seacore other than outdrives in Florida should not be wet slipped. Again both great choices but the 350 gets my vote.
